The approximate distance of the 25k course is 17 miles, the 50K course 34 miles, and the 50M course 51 miles. You return to the start/finish area and aid station/drop bag area after each loop. Info: The 25k course is run in the order of “red -> green -> blue”. The 10k course will run on the green loop and will have about 700’ of elevation gain. The 50k will run the 25k course twice and the 50M will run the 25k course three times. The blue loop will drop you down into the Columbia River Gorge, and have you run along the river before climbing back out and rolling to the finish line. The green loop will run out to yet another lake and feature a return trip through some canyon like desert terrain. The first loop will take you by a waterfall and basalt rock outcroppings. The 25k loop features about 1,700’ of rolling up and down, with no single climb or descent more than 400’. The larger 25k loop features 3 smaller loops, each beginning and ending at a common aid station. Continue on to the Donner Lake Rim Trail back to picturesque Summit Lake as you wind through ancient granite back to Johnson Canyon finish. The 35k will rejoin the Warren Lake Trail and climb up to Basin Peak along the ridge to Castle Peak followed by a very steep rocky descent to Castle Pass aid station. Newly acquired Frog Lake area by the Truckee Donner Land Trust now gives us access to Frog Lake! An out and back section to the 1st Aid Station at Frog Lake where the 20k will turn around and go back to the start. Starting with some steep climbs and great views on the Donner Lake Rim Trail, past Summit Lake trails then up the Warren lake trail. The start/finish is at Johnson Canyon Trailhead to Donner Lake Rim Trail. The Lost and Found 35k/20k has something for everyone. We will have bib pickup, pre-race meeting, and happy hour at Tahoe Mountain Sports on Friday July 23rd.
